SCAPA is focused on creating a model of sustainable commercial development in Uganda. SCAPA stands for “Sustainable Commercial Aquaculture for Poverty Alleviation” and our objectives are to establish an operation that can become the catalyst for the development and support of community-based outgrower farmers in eastern Uganda.
SCAPA’s objectives include:
- To grow to become one of the largest commercial aquaculture operators in Uganda supplying the local, regional and export markets
- To establish an operation that can become the catalyst for the development and support of community-based outgrower farmers in eastern Uganda
- To be a model of how sustainable aquaculture can be applied successfully in Africa
