SCAPA currently operates with polyculture of tilapia and catfish in 6000m2 of ponds.

We have a fully-functional hatchery delivering all our fingerling requirements and with the potential for external sales. We also have the capacity to produce our own fish feed with a grinder and mixer.

SCAPA has developed detailed plans for the growth of the business through a staged development over four years. Trials will be carried out in 2010 in order to optimise key production drivers before the implementation of the first stage of expansion which is scheduled for 2011. Further expansion, including the development of community outgrower farmers, will be undertaken in 2012.

This approach is designed to minimise risk and maximise sustainable value creation at each stage.
